Flowers - emotional health

According to behavior research conducted at Rutgers, New Jersey's state University, flowers are one of nature's way to improve emotional health!  We don't really need a study to prove that to us, do we?  Have you ever not been to happy to receive a flower arrangement?  They bring days of "viewing pleasure" and seem to add warmth to the moment.

They facilitate an intimate connection with our family and friends.  However, it seems they also trigger happy emotions, positively affect social behavior much more then we would think, heightening our feelings of life satisfaction.  They  give an immediate impact on our happiness and even help seniors cope with their problems.  It's interesting that we never stop to consider just good receiving them can make us feel.  How exciting that a study actually proves it!

The researchers from Rutgers found that the flower recipients studied experienced a mood elevation  that lasted for days. 100% of the participants expressed real smiles when receiving them.  The reaction was the same across every age group.  The positive effect on moods was long term.
