World view--what is that anyway? Does this effect our health?  I think so.  I had heard this term many times throughout my spiritual journey.  What I didn't know was that I was "looking through" my worldview much like the worldview of most us have, no matter where we live: us and them, objects to manipulate, the Earth is to be subdued in the name of the Lord...a Newtonian worldview, objects not "beings" etc.. A major superiority ignoring the our planet earth.  I thought I knew what worldview meant, but I didn't. 

Hard to express in words.  I shared it this way in an email I sent to Suzanne Taylor of  Mighty Companions included below:

 For me, I feel as Brian Swimme and Thomas Berry have stated it so often...we need a NEW story.  The zillion isolated things that I have done through out my life, NEVER included the "whole" story from the beginning...our evolution...the fireball up until now.  I am literally made of the same stuff as everyone...every entity...well...I have "believed" this before, but NEVER have understood to such a depth.  That empirical info Brian talks about is very important...WORLDVIEW operates all the time no matter what we think we believe or path we try to follow.  World view has to change and everything else follows. 

Today I went to a tai chi class (more of an energy class really).  The teacher is very much aware of what Brian Swimme speaks of because of her Native American and tai chi background.  She said, as we stood in a chi gong position, that the earth is always giving energy, that we are rooted to the earth and that we need not do anything to make it happen.  Well, this is stuff I have heard before, but now with my new "worldview  and more authentic view", all of sudden the earth was giving me energy and my whole body started vibrating. 

I know that if people could just see and hear the story and be open to it...goodness we come from the same fireball...the same bacteria...the same worm...the same fish ...etc. etc.   It is  a totally different worldview from only " I am one with the Divine and I am this or that..."  [not that this is not also true]

I listen to Brian's tapes everyday as a form of voluntary brainwashing to wash the old worldview OUT of my brain.  Brian speaks about not rushing to do anything, but allowing the story to open up...something like that.  It is hard to not want to rush and do. He says that it will be the same "mind" that will be operating... Same mind (old worldview) that created the problems.
